Barty House Nursing Home is an attractive and comfortable residential nursing home in the pretty Kentish village of Bearsted. Dating back to the Georgian era, Barty House combines listed magnificence with thoroughly modern facilities.
Barty has 56 bright and characterful bedrooms spread over two floors. The rooms in the historic part of the building come in a range of sizes, all with the character you would expect from a Georgian building and most have ensuite facilities. Our traditional windows overlook different aspects of the garden, offering captivating views at any time of year. The spacious bedrooms in our stunning contemporary extension all have ensuite wet rooms. Many also have panoramic views over our stunning grounds and some open out directly access into our private courtyard garden. If you have green fingers you can create your own potted garden or hang baskets filled with favourite flowers.
Each room is equipped with an adjustable automatic bed with a handset control for your comfort, a wardrobe, lockable bedside cabinet, chest of drawers/dressing table, cosy armchair, a nurse-call system, TV and free Wi-Fi. To help you feel at home from day one, we encourage you and your family to personalise your room with photos as well as favourite ornaments and small items of furniture.
We offer a high standard of nursing, as well as specialist dementia and palliative/end-of-life care. Our staff are highly trained and experienced, and our genuine passion for caring for people is very much appreciated by our residents and their relatives.
