Amanda Rae
Head of Quality & Compliance
Amanda qualified as a nurse in 1993 and then gained her Levels 5 and 7 in Business Studies through the Chartered Institute of Management. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources and in 2022 became a Queen’s Nurse.
Amanda has worked in health and social care for most of her career to date. She has also performed most of the roles within a care home, starting as a Care Assistant, progressing to RGN, Sister and Senior Sister and then moving to HR & Training manager up to Home Manager, Operations Manager and, most recently, Head of Quality & Compliance for Canford Healthcare.
Her current role involves setting and monitoring standards to ensure that the organisation meets its regulatory obligations, and also working within a multi-disciplinary team to embed a culture of excellence in which well-trained and happy staff provide the best possible care for residents.
As the architect of the company’s online governance site, Amanda has been a finalist at the Nursing Times Awards several times and received a highly commended at the Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards 2022.
