This role requires travel to a portfolio of homes which may change and/or increase as the size of the business changes.
JOB DUTIES
- Working with the Learning and Development Team and Home Managers to
identify learning needs and implement effective and efficient solutions
for both existing and new skill sets in our Homes
- Where
required, design new training materials and input into development of new
training policies and processes
- Plan
and communicate an efficient and flexible training schedule to meet the
needs of your target audience ensuring all staff groups and work patterns are
considered, i.e., floor/operational staff and night/weekend shifts
- Deliver
face to face and virtual classroom learning using a blended learning
approach, i.e., eLearning, F2F, virtual classroom, coaching, observation,
feedback, etc
- Ensure
health and safety processes are always observed and complete classroom
risk assessments when required
- Evaluate
all learning delivery and collate feedback for review; ensure any learners
who need further support/development are appropriately referred
- Responsible
for the administration of all aspects of own training to include
preparation of training materials
- Consult
with other company trainers to develop consistent practises and review
training methods in conjunction with the Learning and Development Manager
- Mentor
other trainers to develop their core subject knowledge
- Deliver
courses to any home within the Group which fall within your area(s) of
expertise
- Regularly
complete and record CPD to maintain and develop your own knowledge and
skill set
- Assist
with ad-hoc Learning and Development projects and initiatives as required

- Ensure
that health and safety policy is understood and followed
- Ensure
that residents rights are protected and they are treated with dignity and
respect
- Promote
the good image of our homes in the community
- Ensure
that the Company Values are understood and followed to contribute to their
ongoing development
SKILLS QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Current driving licence is essential
- Relevant care qualification and/or a background in health and social care
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Formal training qualification, i.e., CIPD, CTTLS
- Relevant Moving and Assisting training qualification with associated CPD evidence
- First Aid at Work certificate (3 day)
- An assessor qualification would be desirable
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in use of virtual classroom tools, i.e., Zoom, virtual whiteboards, etc.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Effective communication skills both oral and written
- Methodical problem-solving approach
- Flexible and adaptive
