John, Jeremy, Olive and Paul set off for Hollywood Bowling Alley on the Oomph Bus and once there they became; J Baby, Jez, Olive Oil and Bloomsbury on the leaderboard. With their new aliases in place the competition began in earnest.
Jez(Jerry) was consistent throughout taking the lead almost right to the end of play. Bloomsbury (Paul) even surprised himself with some excellent shots! As for Baby J (John) he at one point could be seen buffing his nails in triumph after a strike. But playing with a quiet unassuming confidence, typical of a sporting legend Olive Oil came from nowhere equalising with Jez with 92 points each at the last shot. Jez had gained himself a spare ball, however, Olive Oil on her last bowl of the day bought home a STRIKE making her the undoubted champion of the first-ever Barty Bowling Cup!
A big thank you is extended to Both Brendan and Brenda for coming along on their days off to make the trip possible. And finally Brenda your Victory Dance, when the residents got a strike, was very entertaining, Beyonce eat your heart out!
