Celebrating the lives of loved ones.

On Sunday 7th October we held a Remembrance Service in our Monckton Lounge for all those lost to us over the past year. Families and friends came back to Barty to meet with us once again to remember their loved ones and celebrate their lives. It was an emotional and moving service, and provided a wonderful opportunity for us all to show our respect for the people we have cared for and treated with dignity and friendship during their time with us. Our relationship with residents always extends beyond them to the families and friends who have loved and known them all their lives, they too become part of the Barty family, and having the opportunity to see them all again was such a nice experience.

Family members came with donated Rose Bushes to be named after their loved one and planted in our newly formed memorial garden bed overlooked by Willow Lounge and the Dining room. They were also invited to write messages in our Remembrance Book. Following the service everyone was invited to join together and enjoy a lovely cream tea in Monckton dining room, where we were able to take the time to share our stories and remember happy times.

Our thanks extend to Rev Melissa Carer Curate at Holy Cross Bearsted for a beautiful service, that was appreciated by all the families, staff and residents who attended on the day.
