We are very sorry to hear of the death of Marianna, Viscountess Monckton of Brenchley, who died at her home on 5 July 2022 at the age of 93.
Lady Monckton was due to visit the home that very afternoon and our residents and staff were shocked and saddened to hear of her sudden passing.
For many years she had been a stalwart supporter of Barty House, her former home where she brought up her children. We will cherish the memory of her visits and remember her radiant smile, generosity and incredible sense of humour with deep affection and respect. She will be much missed by all who knew her.
Lady Monckton was a dedicated Patron to the Heart of Kent Hospice, a cause that is also close to our hearts here at Barty House.
Our sincere condolences go to her family and friends.
